Bridal shower banner

Hi Everyone.
I will have  a few posts on this. My sister is getting married and I made the decorations for her shower.

Today I'm sharing the banner.

I used the Stampin Up top note die for the base of each letter and then used my cricut for the letters. To adhere them I used my Xyron sticker maker. I used mini clothes pins to hold the letter on. It kept falling off the wall so we moved it shortly after this :)

Mickey Birthday door hanger

I am trying to post projects that I sort of forgot to post. This was joint project I did the cuts on the Cricut but my BFF did the assembly and printing on the computer.  My BFF found this idea on pinterest.

The letters were cut from zoo day at 1 inch except the 1 was at 2 inches I believe. The mouse head I did fit to page and I cut 2 of them and then just cut the red one in half for the bottom of mickey.  I made all the letters into sticker with my xyron x sticker maker.  I also have the birthday party invites to share, but I didn't get an invitation so I have to find out if she took a picture of it for me. LOL

Sending you some sunshine

I have a fun project to share today. A girl my daughter knows was in a horrible car accident and broke her leg. We wanted to do something nice to cheer her up so I was looking on Pinterest and it was hard to find get well stuff, but then I discovered sunshine boxes. For those wondering a sunshine box is a box colored yellow and filled with yellow items.  They were all big on Pinterest and I just wanted a mini gift.

You might remember I got a super great deal on paint cans so I used one to create this.  I used washi tape for the can and then the cover I took white card stock covered it with the washi tape and then used a punch to give it a shape.

I apologize the pics I ran out of time when I had to have it done to give to her and was rushed in the pictures.  The sun is from simply charmed and it was cut at 2.5 inches

Here is all the yellow things we filled it with.  She loved it.  There was yellow nailpolish, socks, lemonade, lip gloss, ear phones, and salt water taffy. I had more but it couldn't fit in the can.

Have a great night.

Buckets of Fun

Happy Friday!
I am here with an entry into another challenge. I am finally getting back into things :)
This time at the Pumpkin Spice Blog the challenge is farm. I am also entering this into the 3Girl Jam Challenge anything goes with ribbon.
So when I was trying to figure out what to do, I was looking through all my craft stuff. I noticed I have so much that I don't use enough. SO along with entering more challenges I am also trying to use stuff I haven't used recently. We will see how that goes :)
Anyway....
Here is my project.

So I got this bucket a while ago in the dollar section at Target. Then I used my ribbon stash for the handle. The apple was cut from Doodlecharms at 2 3/4. I hand cut the leave off and then just colored the stem brown with a stampin up marker. I inked the apple with Ruby Red ink and used the same ink to stamp my sentiment. It is hard to see but the eyelet in the tag is also apple shaped. The sentiment comes from a K Andrew Designs set.  I gave it to my daughter's friend. She slept over last night and got to take this home this afternoon. :)

Make sure to check out the Pumpkin Spice store here.

Featured project at Getting Cricky

Hi Everyone!

I have a cute project to share with you today. I am featured at Getting Cricky today. I used the Food for thought set for this.  I made this for Princess Buttercup's gym teacher.

I think it is adorable. There is even more inspiration and more of my projects on the Getting Cricky Blog.

I used the K Andrew Designs Twine, and wrapped it around an old starbucks bottle. I cut the mushroom for the Cindy Loo cartridge.  I filled the jar with candy and he loved it.

Make sure to head over and check out my other project and see you tomorrow for the monthly blog hop.

Have a great night!!

The lambs are from Create a Critter at 2.5 inches.  This is actually a mini album so I will so more of the pages later on my blog. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs set Crafty Friends.  The flowers are from Michaels and the ribbon I baked in the oven to make it curly.

Now head over the Miranda's blog.  Here is the entire line-up in case you get lost along the way.

Scenic card

There is a cute little challenge over at Welch Creations we were challenged to make a scenic card. I have been trying to make this card for 2 weeks and just kept changing my mind. It is a simple card cause I made it while stuck in bed.  So I didn't have everything but I still like it.

I used a few different cartridges on this card.  The clouds are from April Showers. The grass, dog and doghouse are from Everyday Paper Dolls.  The sun is from Simply Charmed.  The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment is K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer.  I added the lines to the dog cause they were kind of hard to see on it.

Sorry about the picture I had to take the picture in the living room and the lighting isn't as good as it is down in the craftroom. :)

Have a great day :)

I love the idea of lunchbox notes but mornings are soo crazy at our house, I'm lucky to get lunch made there is no way to write her a note.  We made lunchbox notes. Princess Buttercup picked the people and clothes and paper. Then I put them together and did the stamping.  I got baseball card protectors 100 of them for $.49 so I am putting the cards in those to protect them in her lunch.  I can reuse these and she gets a different one everyday.

Head over to Kristal's site and check them out. Remember if you spend $25 you get the Mini heart set free :)

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge. Today we needed to create something with the theme Thankful.  I am thankful for a lot of things, but i am very Thankful for my best friend. She is wonderful.  We have been friends for quite a few years and she has been there through so much.  I love you lots, Shawna!!!

This is going to be for her.  I have to do some fixing on it. When you make a magnet, make sure you don't put the paper on the magnet side.  I have to take it apart before she gets it.  Her favorite color is green, and I have a cute picture of us to put in it.
It was really hard to get a picture of the sentiment.  I used the K Andrew Designs Stamp set Winter Wishes.  I love this set! There are so many awesome things you can put together to create with this set.  I found this magnetic frame at a garage sale.  I covered it in the green paper.  I cut the flowers from Plantin Schoolbook, just all kinds of different sizes.  I used Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment and then used opal sparkle embossing powder.  For the flowers I inked the edges with versamark and then put them in embossing powder.  I really like how it turned out and I hope she does too.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the fabulous DT has come up with, and please join in the challenge.

Have a great day!

Blessed to Be 60 Blog Hop

Kathie's Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Blessed to Be 60 Blog Hop!!    We are here to celebrate the fact that the very brave and talented Kathie is celebrating her 60th Birthday!!  Birthdays and Cancer are both important to me and it is so fantastic that Kathie beat that nasty disease and is here to share with us.

You should have hopped over from Tisha at Tisha's Craft Cove, I always love going to Tisha's you never know what fantastic project she will make.  If you didn't come from Trisha and want to join us, head to Kathie's to start.

On to my project, my sister's birthday is coming up so I made her a cute little card.

This was a quick and easy card, I found this old Stampin Up stamp from the 1990's and used it.  I colored it using Derwent colored pencils, and blended.  The blue papers are from my scrap bin. The star shape is Fiskars shape cutters, but I just traced it and cut by hand.  I chalked the edges of the card and the stars, and popped the top star up.  I used the Cricut Cake, Birthday cakes cartridge for the Happy Birthday.  Super easy.

Here is the blog line up in case you got lost.

Happy Fall

Hey Everyone!  I have been feeling so crafty lately. Which I think is good, cause I was kinda in a funk for awhile.  I made this simple little card, for my Mother-in-law.  I have some new pictures of Princess Buttercup, and my husband didn't want me handing out pictures in front of everyone, so they are going in the card.  I made the little girl from Everyday Paper dolls and she is made to look like Princess Buttercup.  I used all scraps for the card.  I cut the Happy fall from plantin schoolbook. I am entering my card into the following challenges.

Whimsical Wednesdays
Paper this and that
Cooking with Cricut
Wacky Wednesday Challenge 52

Have a great day everyone!

Cutie Cutie Cupcake

I love doing challenges, they are hard for me, but I enjoy them.  This one was extremely difficult, this card is for 3 challenges.
Birthday Sundaes
The Paper Variety
Crafty Sprouts

I redid this card 3 or 4 times.  Before I finally just let it flow and it all came together. I used some stickers from my stash to spell out "Happy Birthday 2 U". The cupcake is cut from a Cricut Lite cartridge called Slumber Party.  The cherry on top was a scrap and I just used my circle punch to cut it and it is popped up with a dimensional.  I just eyeballed my banner to cut it.  I used eyelets, so it actually hung from my string.  At first the Happy was on the banner and then I took that apart.  All in all it came together nicely.

Have an awesome day!  Enjoy your labor day weekend.

Cupcakes!

I had the idea for this card after checking out the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.  I also knew I wanted to enter the Birthday Sundaes Challenge.  Think it turned out pretty well.  It was for sure a challenge to use the colors they picked.  So I used a Studio G card base, traced a scrap piece for the background. Then to make the top of the paper different, I took  a scalloped circle and traced it multiple times with my gelly roll pen.  The cupcakes are cut from my doodlecharms cricut cartridge, and then I dashed them with my gelly rolls.  Added a little twine and it was done.  Oh, and in the upper part, Happy birthday was hand written in, and it kinda blends, but it is there.

Red, white and blue at Patches of Pink

I wanted to alter this photo album.  I found it on clearance a few months ago, and I couldn't pass up the deal I got.

When I heard about this challenge at Patches of Pink, its fate had been sealed...lol

Not only is this for a challenge, there is also a design team call for Patches of Pink.  I love using her digi stamp that her husband made and I think it would be so fun to be on her team.  So I decided to try.  :)

This is the how I cut the paper to have the window.
All the paper came from Oriental Trading.  I used my glue glide pro to adhere all the paper to the photo album.

The flowers are from Plantin School book, they are cut at 2", 1 3/4", 1 1/2", and 1".  Using mini glue dots out the layers of flowers together and top with a button.

PS Please ignore my pretty sheets. I am really not feeling well, and I think a certain problem is about to flare up, so I crafted in bed and I wanted to get this up before I got too sick. Thanks for understanding.

Design team call at Pumpkin Spice!

I am really excited!!!  Pumpkin Spice is having a design team call!  Here is the link. http://pumpkinspiceblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/calling-all-paper-craft-junkies-design.html.
The requirements are you need to make a NEW project for the team call. You can enter more than one project if they are different types of projects.  You also need to use 2 or more of the following paper lines
Cosmo Cricket
My Minds Eye
Graphic 45
Bo Bunny
Echo Park
Crate Paper

I have so many paper lines I love, but I really like Bo Bunny and Coredinations. :)

I am going to try and make 2 projects for the team call.  Ever since I found out about design teams I have dreamed about being on one, but I am soo worried about my stuff not being good enough for them.  But I decided to try anyway.

On to the project!
I have quite a few of these dollar frames laying around, and I am really trying to use stuff up. I used a decocolor paint marker on the frame.  It was so easy to paint the frame, it was just like coloring and it was nice to be able to put it away and color again later.

I cut the flowers out on the Cricut, using Plantin schoolbook, at 1.5 inches and 1 inch.  I layered the flowers and used eyelets to hold them together.  Using zots I stuck them on the frame and it was done.
I love how easy everything went together.
Here is a close up of one of the flowers.

Recipe
Dollar frame from Michaels
Decocolor opaque paint marker Pink, Marvy Uchida
Echo Park, A walk in the park, Mother Nature
Cosmo Cricket, Upcycle, Re:verse
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge
Stampin Up eyelets
Zots
Crop a dile
Pink, green, brown coredinations cardstock
