Simply Sunday Challenge summer

Good Morning everyone!
I am super tired this morning so I hope this post makes sense...lol  If not I hope you can figure it out. :)
Today is our Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge.
We are making summer themed projects for you.
I used my scrap file to make this card, it is a 4.25x4.25 card.  Then i quilled the ice cream cone.  The sentiment says Enjoy the summer from the K Andrew Designs set Splashtastic summer.

Challenge project

Hi!
I have been trying to get back to doing challenges, sometimes my head is spinning and I just trying to get stuff done around the house and we have to make a trip to see my Father-in-law who is having surgery, so it is crazy. See my long crazy sentence...lol

Anyway, at Erica's Craftroom Challenge  we were giving a color combo and a sketch.

So I came up with this....
The image is super adorable! It came from Cheri at DJ's Sundries she is my DT sister at Getting Cricky and she sent them to me. I love them. There are a few other cute Precious Moments ones and I will definitely be making more things with them.  I colored it with colored pencils and then blended. I used liquid pearls in pink and white around the edges of the papers.  The eye-lets are from Eye-lets Etc, if you haven't checked out their eye-lets you should. I love how easy they set.

Have a great day :)

New Challenge at Queen of my Craftroom

Hi!  Did you recover from all the awesome projects you saw that week?!  I can't believe all the talent I saw. I come to you today with a challenge.  Michelle at Queen of my Craftroom, just asked me to join her Design Team and the new challenge was just posted today.

We needed to make a stamped image card with NO machines.

I made the card base, and then attached a scrap piece, then I wrapped some twine around it. Added the image and some buttons. The stamp was prestamped on some papers I got at a garage sale, a few years ago, so I know nothing about it.  I colored it with my colored pencils and then used odorless mineral spirits to blend. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs  It is from the Crafty Friends set.

That was it. Please join us in the Queen of my Craftroom Challenge.  Have a great day.

K Andrew Designs Preview day 4

So are you enjoying all the awesome projects!  Keep checking all my DT sisters sites for all the other fabulous projects leading up to the blog hop this Friday.
This was another scraps project. The cool thing is the butterfly and twine come off because it is a necklace!  I covered the card base and then just cut a few shapes for the card.  Added some dashing, stamped my sentiment and that was it.  Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezie!

Have a great day and come back tomorrow.

My first Christmas Card

Hi!
I hope everyone is having a great day.  I am enjoying our No School Day! Princess Buttercup and I are spending the day crafting and playing.

I wanted to quickly share this card.

It was an easy card.  I used an embossing folder to do the snowman background.  I used some Studio G glitter for the red scarfs and then the snow is white/clear glitter.  I added the bling for the buttons on the snowman.  I used my K Andrew Designs stamps for the sentiment.

Winter Wishes is the set I used.  I stamped it in VersaMark and them embossed with silver.  It is a standard A2 card size, and then I used some paper scraps for the blue.

Teacher Project for Thanksgiving

Hi!
I wanted to quickly share this. Last week, you saw the card I made for Princess Buttercup's teacher. So Tuesday night, I was making her a Thanksgiving gift and let's just say idea A, didn't go so well.  Idea B looked like poo, so idea C came out. :)

It was a journal I found at Michael's on clearance, I covered in in scrap paper and added her name.
I am slowly working on Christmas cards and will share soon.

Have a wonderful day!!

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge. Today we needed to create something with the theme Thankful.  I am thankful for a lot of things, but i am very Thankful for my best friend. She is wonderful.  We have been friends for quite a few years and she has been there through so much.  I love you lots, Shawna!!!

This is going to be for her.  I have to do some fixing on it. When you make a magnet, make sure you don't put the paper on the magnet side.  I have to take it apart before she gets it.  Her favorite color is green, and I have a cute picture of us to put in it.
It was really hard to get a picture of the sentiment.  I used the K Andrew Designs Stamp set Winter Wishes.  I love this set! There are so many awesome things you can put together to create with this set.  I found this magnetic frame at a garage sale.  I covered it in the green paper.  I cut the flowers from Plantin Schoolbook, just all kinds of different sizes.  I used Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment and then used opal sparkle embossing powder.  For the flowers I inked the edges with versamark and then put them in embossing powder.  I really like how it turned out and I hope she does too.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the fabulous DT has come up with, and please join in the challenge.

Have a great day!

Sketches in Thyme Design Team Call

I love using sketches.  I don't share everything that I make on here, I should start sharing more of the layouts, but anyway...Sketches in Thyme is having a design team call and I wanted to try out.

Here is the sketch that we had to work from.

I wanted to do something unique.  I have a 5.5 x7.5 album, and it is difficult to make pages that size look good.  I used this sketch to make a page for that album.

I think it turned out really cute!  Everything was from my scrap file. I cut the base to 5.5 x 7.5, the pink layer was 5.7, the blue strip was cut to 1.5 x5, and the other pink, I can't remember...lol  I inked the pink that I can't remember in pink ink, and the blue strip with black ink.  I dashed the green, and around the outside with a purple gelly roll pen.  The circles were cut with punches and added a little bling.  The letters were stickers from my stash.  The black is not part of the layout, it just made a nice background. :)

Hope you enjoy your day and don't forget to check out my post entitled I'm Bored.  You never know what is in that post. :)

Glitter and Bling!

Whoo! I quickly finished this project, so I could get it in before the deadline.  I love how this turned out. Again, it was all scraps.

The base is white glitter paper, then I cut the pink glitter paper with a scallop scissors. The flower was super easy.  I was a piece of glitter paper torn into a spiral, and then I just curled it up.  I tied the bow, with ribbon from my ribbon stash.  The LOVE is letters from my stash and I stuck them on with my sticker maker.

I am such a dingbat...lol

I was in such a hurry I forgot to add the picture. So here it is. :)

Pink, Black and White

Wow!  I have a few started cards for World Card Making day, but I couldn't get them all finished.  I got this one done, and I am hoping to get the another one finished before the deadline in 20 min.  Anyway, this is the project for Pink, Black and White.

The paper is all scraps and the stamp is from MelJen's Designs.

Have a Fabulous Night!!

Zebra Flower Card

My creating has kinda been on hold.  It is hard to craft on vacation.  I forgot many important things, scissors, paper cutter, and extra adhesive.  I have a ton of ideas, but I wasn't able to do much.  I have a card in mind for tomorrow, if I am able to get it to print out.

I worked on this around the house today.  I used zebra scraps, and black and white scraps. I colored the digital stamp from MelJens with sharpies.  There are black gemstones all around the outside. The card base is from Studio G.
Close up of the digital stamp

Journey the kitten, fighting me for ribbon.

I finally won the battle and was able to add ribbon to my card.

Dont forget about my blog candy. Go down a few posts. It ends on Sunday.

You're Fairy Awesome

sorry about my yellow thumb..lol
I love how this card turned out.  I am doing a card swap on MiniAlbumScraps.  I have to make 6 cards. This is one of them.
I got this super cute digital stamp from MyGrafico, I colored and glittered her.  I used some more paper scraps to make the card. I typed up the Thanks on my computer.  I love how the eyelets turned out.  I put the 4 of them and then threaded the crochet cotton through to hold it all together.

I typed the inside out on the computer and the stars were punched out on a die at Archivers.

Bunny says HI...

Another super adorable card for my swap at Minialbumscraps.  I love how the crochet cotton turned out.  I think it looks so close to the twine.

Again, all my paper was scraps, I really try and use up scraps, so I can use some of my bigger paper on layouts.  The image is from MelJen'sDesigns, and I colored it with my colored pencils.  Hopefully for Christmas I will get some Prismacolors, I am going to ask my Grandma in law.  :)  I added a little Studio G glitter to its tail.  The buttons were the finishing touch.

Hope you are all have a fantastic day!  I am enjoying the day in Oklahoma.

My first fall layout

I am not totally done with this layout.  It still needs a title, but I am not sure what I want to do yet.  I think I am going to put pictures of our first time at the pumpkin patch, but I just don't know what to call it.  It requires some thinking, maybe after I get the pics on it...
Anyway, I used a plain background it came in a pack from Oriental trading.  The mats are from my scrap bin, and the fantastic images are from Faith at Designed2delight.  I went outside comfort area, and used my machine for some stitching.  I have never done it before.  I am not quite sure how I feel about it yet, so I don't know if I will keep doing it on stuff.  I colored the images and glittered them.  I also embossed the mats using a fiskars texture plate and my cuttlebug.

I am entering this at Designed2delight, a challenge at TallyScrappers, andhttp://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com/.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Buttons buttons everywhere

This challenge was so fun.  At TallyScrapper we had to use as many buttons as we could and still have it look good.  I think it i adorable.  I used a studio g card base, covered it in scraps, and then used 32 buttons.  The paper flower is Doodlbug Designs paper.  I punched scalloped circles and then folded them so there was a V at the bottom. I cut another circle for the bottom, put the petals on and a button in the center.

Have a fantastic day!

Miss You

So, I just found this new group called Tally Scrapper, and this weekend they are having a big crop weekend. It is so fun, we have had games, and challenges.  I made this card for the card challenge.
Here is the card recipe they gave us.
4.25 x 5.5 card
Scallops (anywhere on the card)
3 Buttons
1 Stamped image
A sentiment (done any way you want)
I made the card base, out of a scrap.  The digital stamp was a freebie from MelJens, I colored it with Rose Art pencils.  I cut the digital image and the mat for it, and the scallop with my Fiskars shape cutter.  I used my homemade twine and got 3 buttons from my stash.  I dug out some stickers from my stash, to spell out Miss you.

Fluttering by just to say Hi!

I love how this card turned out.  I belong to a group, minialbumscraps, and one of the swaps I am signed up is a card swap.  I have to make 6 cards, and I will get 6 in return.  I will have some of the autoposted. We leave on vacation next week, and I will try and post while gone, but I have no idea what we will be doing while we are gone.

The image is from MelJensDesigns, and I colored it with colored pencils.  I typed up the sentiment on my computer.  All the paper and card base, were from my scrap file,so I am not sure who makes them.  I cut the sentiment with a fiskars scissors.  I just added 2 buttons.  I love buttons, and I think they are a perfect touch.
Have a great day!

Cupcakes!

I had the idea for this card after checking out the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.  I also knew I wanted to enter the Birthday Sundaes Challenge.  Think it turned out pretty well.  It was for sure a challenge to use the colors they picked.  So I used a Studio G card base, traced a scrap piece for the background. Then to make the top of the paper different, I took  a scalloped circle and traced it multiple times with my gelly roll pen.  The cupcakes are cut from my doodlecharms cricut cartridge, and then I dashed them with my gelly rolls.  Added a little twine and it was done.  Oh, and in the upper part, Happy birthday was hand written in, and it kinda blends, but it is there.

Magnetic Photo Frame/Memo Board

I'm back again. :P  I was looking around and I found this piece of flashing. They are from Home Depot and they come in packs of 10.  It is a 5 x7 metal flashing.  You can use them for magnet boards.  I covered it with scraps of paper. I used a 1" circle punch to cut the 2 circles and the gems I picked up in a bag at Dollar Tree.  I used clear glue to glue the paper to the gem and adhere a magnet to the back.  I am still looking through my huge ribbon stash and I am going to punch 2 holes with my crop a dile and put ribbon so it hangs.

I am going to enter this over at youhadmeatcraft.com for Alex's linking party. :)

Quick project. Mini clothes pins

I am trying to do a project a day, but it already got messed up. :(  Yesterday we took a trip to the zoo, and I was soo tired when we got home I didn't wanna do anything.  Here is Princess Buttercup and the zebra.

So today, I have a quick mini project and I might have my second project finished for tonight.  I was cleaning and found this little bag in a box.
I decided to make whatever was in the bag.
They were mini clothes pins and paper strips. They were super easy to make just cut strips of paper 1/4" by 1 3/4".  I actually just glued them on and cut the excess off when I was done, but you could precut them.  I added strips of magnet, to the back and they were done.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezey. :)

Have a great day!
Recipe... Mini clothespins, strips of paper, magnet strip, cut in half so they were skinny.
