My final Christmas cards

Sorry for the posts so close together. I kept forgetting to post these for the contest.   I don't think my brain works lately...lol

So this is my final card. I used some scrap polka dot paper and then wrapped white ribbon around the middle and made my bow with it.  I got this sentiment out of a bin of stuff, I have no idea where it is from. I was just using old stuff up on these.

It was easy but with the way things were going this is all I managed to get done. I hope you all have a great day, and a great rest of your week.

I am entering this in the 3 Girl Jam Challenge

Christmas Card #2

This is the second card that I got done. I found a pre embossed piece of cardstock. It says Merry Christmas over and over. I got it in a bunch of stuff from another crafter. I tried to find the folder but have no idea where it is from :(  The sentiment was ripped off some old cards and then I did 3 rows of lace at the bottom.
I added some stitching and eyelets and it was done.

I am entering this in the 3 girl jam challenge. Christmas and Ribbon :) I only have one more card to share, and I promise to do loads better next year with sharing projects and stuff.

Christmas cards

I am totally behind lately. I did manage to make a few Christmas cards, and then used store ones for the rest. I know I am sooo bad. :(  I didn't even get them mailed yet, but I figure at least they will get them before new years.  I found some cards I started a few years ago and they were horrible. I am ripping them apart and trying to use what I can for new cards.

The paper is from Authentique and then I used some stickers that I picked up at goodwill, added some ribbon and then grabbed this sentiment off of one of the yucky cards.
I like to keep the cards simple because they just get thrown away and I hate to see everything wasted like that.  I already have a few more in the works that I will be sharing with you. I apologize for the pictures. I forgot out the challenge ending and my camera batteries are dead, and I lent the charger to my mom, so I had touse my phone :(

I am entering this into the 3 Girl Jam Challenge, Christmas Inspiration and using ribbon.

Have a great rest of the day.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I know I have been really bad with posting, my crafty mojo has taken a bad break, but I have made a resolution to be better after the first of the year.  I started simple since I haven't done anything lately. I have 2 non Christmas cards to share with you today.  I didn't get too many Christmas cards made and I am super late on sending my cards out.

This first one used up my scraps, some craft tape, and the set Winged Things by K Andrew Designs.
This second one used scraps, craft tape, some flowers, and Southern Sayings.

I hope you enjoyed the cards. And I want to say I truly appreciate all of you guys as my followers. Thanks for sticking around. Merry Christmas.

Live the life you want.

I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving, and survived black Friday shopping. I was crazy and went at 4 am. :)
I wanted to share a card with you today. It features a sentiment from Positive Thoughts.
Remember I mentioned Paper Craft Island, this is one of the cards I made for a challenge.

The background papers are from My Minds Eye, and I cut them into strips lightly adhered them and then sewed around the edges, The flowers I actually picked up at the bridal consignment shop and they matched my papers perfectly. The little girl is a digital stamp from Cheryl Seslar Designs, here is a link to her. She was a freebie.

Paper Craft Island

Happy Friday!!

Did you all hear about Paper Craft Island? It was like survivor for paper crafters. Now that the season is all over we can finally say that we participated in the season :)
I am going to start sharing all the stuff I made while I was on the island. I was one vote away from being in the final 3, but I am proud of the stuff I made.  Here is the first project I made for immunity. I had to take the picture from the paper craft island site cause the email I sent it in got deleted :(

We had to make a post card that was island themed. I will post some other projects in a few days.
Enjoy the weekend.

Altered Pencil cup for Crafting Family

Hi Everyone!!    Lately I have been on an altered items kick. :) I picked up this silver pencil cup at Goodwill for $.49. I used some Fancy Pancy Designs Paper from the Little Sprouts Collection. I used the front and back of 2 sheets one was Baby's breath and I threw out the other one before I wrote down the name :( Anyway I added some ribbon and that was it. A super cute holder for me to keep stuff in.

Altered Journal for Crafting Family

Hi Everyone,
I have a simple little altered journal for you today.

I used the Little Sprout Collection by Fancy Pants Designs. The stripe and pink and blue polka dots are called Pampered. The red swirl and pink and green dots are on the Babysbreath paper. I these all go together pefectly. I used some paper flowers, a brown gel pen, and pink liquid pearls. Then I just got out my ribbon stash.  I used some scraps for matting all my pattern papers.

I based it off of a sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches.

That's my project for the day. Have a great week.

Design Team day at Crafting Family

I made a box...lol

Sorry I am little crazy today, just the kinda of week I am having.

If you are anything like me you are always losing stuff. So I created this box for my fridge. I saw the idea on a blog, but of course I can't find it. If I do I will update the post.
I used a drink box from the mix pouches. I hope that makes sense :D
Anyway....

Here is my project.

I used Wishful Thinking by Fancy Pants Designs for all the papers. The red is called Heartfelt and I cut it at 6x10.5 to wrap all the way around the box. I cut the flaps off the box and then used my atg to put the papers on.  The green and and the fancy piece with lines are the WT cards. I just layered them and did some dashing. The pink is liquid pearls and I dotted them around for some dimension. I added some magnets to the back and here it is on my fridge waiting for some stuff to get put in it.
Have a great day!!

This month we were going to use our favorite set. It was soo hard to choose so I picked the first set I ever got which is Winter Wishes. I thought that Santa would be wanting it to snow :) That is why I picked that sentiment.
I used all scraps for my card except the base. I believe all the patterned paper was from Little Yellow Bicycle. The image is a Stampin Up one, but I don't know the set. I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and blended.  It was based off a sketch from Card Positioning Systems.

Are we there Design Team day.

Hi Everyone,
I know my post is late tonight but it was a crazy day. I had physical therapy yesterday and they really were on me about getting better shoes to support my ankle so it will heal. I ran around all morning trying to find shoes. I get home about to finish my project and post it and....
the school calls, my kiddo is sick. She is in 3rd grade and has never been sent home, so I knew it was bad. So I had to cuddle with my baby all afternoon and then go to church. So finally here is my project. :)

I wanted to create a little notebook to keep in the car. We travel a lot to see my in-laws and we drive the same way everytime. We ALWAYS say we need to remember certain spots to eat or to not stop somewhere, but we always forget to write the places down.
so I created this to keep in the car and I can write the state and the place and we will always know where to stop. :) We have 2 trips coming up so it will get lots of use.
I used Graphic 45 paper from the A Proper Gentleman Collection the paper is called The Sophisticate.
The yellow is a scrap and the saying is from a set of stickers I got at Joanns a while back. I added some bling and twine and a button, I used a gel pen for stitching and then ribbon across the top.
I hope you enjoyed my project and have a great night.

Candy Bar Holder

Hi
It's Wednesday, and time for my Crafting Family Dt post.  It was a crazy time with my project. So the first project I made. i hated. It looked like Poo. So I made this candy bar holder, and I think it turned out cute.
So, I go down to the garage to get my camera and lose the project.  I joke with my husband that cancer made me stupid, I can't remember this. I walked downstairs with my project, got distracted, put it down and then when got back upstairs with my camera. Forgot where the project was.  I searched for an hour, gave up went to do laundry and found it on top of the dryer. :D I just laugh at myself sometimes. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my crazy story and my project.

I used Basic Grey Life of the Party Collection and the paper is called Buckaroo. The mat of the butterfly is Bella Road for the Record Collection Apron Strings Paper, and some scrap black.

I photographed it on yellow to make some of the colors pop.  This paper is so fun and colorful.

I will definitely be making more of these. Here are the directions.
Cut the paper 6 x 6. Score at 1/2 inch and 3 1/4. The 1/2 piece folds in to the right and the 3 1/4 side folds to the right to create the ouch. Tape down the 1/2 side and across the bottom. I punched a hole to tie my bow using 1/8 satin ribbon

I used an image from MelJens designs and I will be entering this in the anything goes challenge.  Princess Buttercup colored the butterfly with gel pens.

Have a fantastic day.

Simply Sunday Challenge Fall

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I am coming to you with a Fall project for this month's Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge.  This is the last one of the design term.  The new team will be announced on Tuesday. :)

I based the design off the sketch at Sweet Stop, and I am also entering it in the Die Cuttin Diva's challenge to use pop dots, twine and 3 buttons.

So I used all scraps for this project.  The leaf is a spellbinders shape that I cut out, on my big kick, and then layered the 3 papers behind it.  I used pop dots to have the top layer pop up, and on all the buttons. I used gel pen to stitch around the leaf.  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Guy Talk set.  This was my first time ever using a spellbinders die and I really liked it, I think I may have to keep my eye out for cheap sets of them :)

I hope you all have a great labor day weekend, make sure to join in the challenge.

Crafting Family Project

I just realized I forgot to post my post for Crafting Family.

I made this simple card. I had a lot of "ideas" but stuff wasn't turning out. I think it was vacation/surgery brain...lol

I decided to make it to play along with Paper Playtime Hot and Spicy challenge.
I chose to go with hot and make my beach scene.

Projects on Getting Cricky

It is one of my days to have a project on the Getting Cricky blog.  I used the peppermint sweet wishes freebie that was given out around Christmas last year.

I got a composition notebook at walgreens 6 for $1 this week. The ice cream is from Simply Charmed. I just skipped the layer with the face on it.  stamped a peachy keen face, some ribbon and the sentiment. It was an easy little project.

I made this treat container from a toilet paper roll. My neice covered it in paper. I added treats and closed it with eyelets.

I am having blogger issues and will add the picture as soon as I can.
