Thyroid Cancer Awareness bookmark

Happy Saturday!
I hope you all enjoyed your week. I have a easy project for you today. September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month.  It is very important month to me, because I had 3 types of thyroid cancer.  My daughter's teacher also had thyroid cancer and I wanted to do something nice for her.

So I got these metal bookmarks a long time ago from Fire Mountain gems, then I picked up the beads and charms at Joanns. I used ring memory wire to make the swirl.

My goal is within the next month to make a photo box so you will see some better pictures.  We gave this to her teacher yesterday after school and she really liked it.

I hope you do too :) Enjoy your weekend.

It's my day at Pinque Peacock

Woohoo! I love my Pinque Peacock day! :)  I'm a little crazy today. Anyway I have a super cute altered mini notebook to share.
All the paper on this is from October Afternoon. I got lucky to go to the warehouse sale that OA put on. It was crazy tons and tons of deals. I will have to take a picture of all the deals I got.  It was a lot of fun.  Anyway.  This paper I don't know what line it was from. They had a bulk paper section and it was sooo cheap so we just grabbed.  I think they were the samples from when they sent the paper to be printed, because it was both patterns on the same side of the paper. I hope that makes sense. My guess is this paper was from the Rocket Age line. The back paper was space themed.  Then the stickers are from OA as well. I got so lucky, they were a manilla envelope full for $8 and I think we got 10 different sets and each set had 3 pages. So tons of sticker letters.  My mom and I made the ribbon and then I added the perfect touch of the fabric covered button from Pinque Peacock.

I hope you enjoy.

I am also entering this into Pumpkin Spice Challenge, use primary colors

Sending you some sunshine

I have a fun project to share today. A girl my daughter knows was in a horrible car accident and broke her leg. We wanted to do something nice to cheer her up so I was looking on Pinterest and it was hard to find get well stuff, but then I discovered sunshine boxes. For those wondering a sunshine box is a box colored yellow and filled with yellow items.  They were all big on Pinterest and I just wanted a mini gift.

You might remember I got a super great deal on paint cans so I used one to create this.  I used washi tape for the can and then the cover I took white card stock covered it with the washi tape and then used a punch to give it a shape.

I apologize the pics I ran out of time when I had to have it done to give to her and was rushed in the pictures.  The sun is from simply charmed and it was cut at 2.5 inches

Here is all the yellow things we filled it with.  She loved it.  There was yellow nailpolish, socks, lemonade, lip gloss, ear phones, and salt water taffy. I had more but it couldn't fit in the can.

Have a great night.

Dry Erase Teacher Board

Hello! Long Time no craft.  I have been crafting but my computer is not nice lately and I haven't been able to post. So, now it's being nice and I can share.

My daughter's second grade teacher was so awesome, and even though my daughter isn't in second grade we have stayed in contact with her teacher.  I saw something like this on pinterest.  Here is the link to what I saw.

I created this...

I had an old gold picture frame and I spray painted it blue.  Then I got this adorable paper and the lined part is the back of the school rocks paper.  I then cut the letters off of plantin schoolbook on the cricut.  I attached the ribbon to the glass before I slid it into the frame.  Then the teacher can write on the glass and then wipe it off.  It was a big hit!

I hope you like it and I'll share more this week.
