This month we were going to use our favorite set. It was soo hard to choose so I picked the first set I ever got which is Winter Wishes. I thought that Santa would be wanting it to snow :) That is why I picked that sentiment.
I used all scraps for my card except the base. I believe all the patterned paper was from Little Yellow Bicycle. The image is a Stampin Up one, but I don't know the set. I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and blended.  It was based off a sketch from Card Positioning Systems.

I will have some Candy but, I am slightly behind and still need to pick last month's winner.  Both prizes will be a grab bag of goodies.
It is just nuts around my house, but I will pick winners from both hops and announce them Wednesday.

Didja know?
Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS  Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help! K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America.  You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

Are we there Design Team day.

Hi Everyone,
I know my post is late tonight but it was a crazy day. I had physical therapy yesterday and they really were on me about getting better shoes to support my ankle so it will heal. I ran around all morning trying to find shoes. I get home about to finish my project and post it and....
the school calls, my kiddo is sick. She is in 3rd grade and has never been sent home, so I knew it was bad. So I had to cuddle with my baby all afternoon and then go to church. So finally here is my project. :)

I wanted to create a little notebook to keep in the car. We travel a lot to see my in-laws and we drive the same way everytime. We ALWAYS say we need to remember certain spots to eat or to not stop somewhere, but we always forget to write the places down.
so I created this to keep in the car and I can write the state and the place and we will always know where to stop. :) We have 2 trips coming up so it will get lots of use.
I used Graphic 45 paper from the A Proper Gentleman Collection the paper is called The Sophisticate.
The yellow is a scrap and the saying is from a set of stickers I got at Joanns a while back. I added some bling and twine and a button, I used a gel pen for stitching and then ribbon across the top.
I hope you enjoyed my project and have a great night.

Candy Bar Holder

Hi
It's Wednesday, and time for my Crafting Family Dt post.  It was a crazy time with my project. So the first project I made. i hated. It looked like Poo. So I made this candy bar holder, and I think it turned out cute.
So, I go down to the garage to get my camera and lose the project.  I joke with my husband that cancer made me stupid, I can't remember this. I walked downstairs with my project, got distracted, put it down and then when got back upstairs with my camera. Forgot where the project was.  I searched for an hour, gave up went to do laundry and found it on top of the dryer. :D I just laugh at myself sometimes. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my crazy story and my project.

I used Basic Grey Life of the Party Collection and the paper is called Buckaroo. The mat of the butterfly is Bella Road for the Record Collection Apron Strings Paper, and some scrap black.

I photographed it on yellow to make some of the colors pop.  This paper is so fun and colorful.

I will definitely be making more of these. Here are the directions.
Cut the paper 6 x 6. Score at 1/2 inch and 3 1/4. The 1/2 piece folds in to the right and the 3 1/4 side folds to the right to create the ouch. Tape down the 1/2 side and across the bottom. I punched a hole to tie my bow using 1/8 satin ribbon

I used an image from MelJens designs and I will be entering this in the anything goes challenge.  Princess Buttercup colored the butterfly with gel pens.

Have a fantastic day.

Simply Sunday Challenge Fall

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I am coming to you with a Fall project for this month's Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge.  This is the last one of the design term.  The new team will be announced on Tuesday. :)

I based the design off the sketch at Sweet Stop, and I am also entering it in the Die Cuttin Diva's challenge to use pop dots, twine and 3 buttons.

So I used all scraps for this project.  The leaf is a spellbinders shape that I cut out, on my big kick, and then layered the 3 papers behind it.  I used pop dots to have the top layer pop up, and on all the buttons. I used gel pen to stitch around the leaf.  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Guy Talk set.  This was my first time ever using a spellbinders die and I really liked it, I think I may have to keep my eye out for cheap sets of them :)

I hope you all have a great labor day weekend, make sure to join in the challenge.
