Relax at the beach

Hello and long time no craft. I have been struggling with a foot injury and it's stopped a lot of crafting but I got started for Christmas.

I made this for my sister in law. She has a beach themed bathroom.  I took a piece of wood and painted it white. I used painters tape to add the stripes. I used foam thickers for the letters and found these adorable K and Co beach stickers at Michaels. I found the mini clothespin in my stash. Easy peasy and hopefully she likes it :)

Bridal shower favor and decorations

 Hi
Today I'm brining you the next part of the shower decorations. We made a 2 different favors, one for kids, and one for grown ups. I found the spoon one on pinterest. Here is my shower board.

So we did 3 different recipes tied to the wooden spoons. For the kids we did candy :)

So the wooden spoons we had hearts from another project and just added the sentiment and tied. Same with the candy bars wrapped them in paper and added the heart. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.

Here are the prizes for the games.

 This hung on the door.

We had people bring recipes. This is how we set the table up.  Everyone had a great time and liked their prizes and favors. I forgot to take some pictures of the other decorations but it's okay you get the idea ;)

Vintage memory board

Hi everyone
I have a memory board to share. I was in an exchange and the person I made this for likes vintage things and she wanted her board to be blues and neutrals. This was so tough cause I don't make vintage styled things.  So here is what I created.

I found the door at a Habitat for Humanity store and knew it would be a perfect vintage board. My dad helped my cutting wood the door is attached to and drilling the holes for me. All the hardware is original.  I raided my mom's lace collection which included this vintage lace. We are pretty sure this lace was part of my grandma's craft stash and possibly my great grandma's.  Here are some close ups.

I made this flower by wrapping lace around. The bling in the center was an earring that was my great grandma's.

So I threaded the blue lace through the holes of the cream and stapled them to the board. I made the paper flowers from a spellbinders die.
I hope my partner likes it. I'm waiting to hear :)

Hello my name is

  Hi and Happy Friday!
I have an altered notebook to share today.

I picked up some mini composition notebooks and knew I was gonna cover them. I picked up this cute paper at an outlet store in Michigan.  I used Modge Podge to cover it. The hello my name is was part of a sheet of paper. I cut that square out and put it on an Action Wobble.  I just have to decide what name to put on it.

Bridal shower banner

Hi Everyone.
I will have  a few posts on this. My sister is getting married and I made the decorations for her shower.

Today I'm sharing the banner.

I used the Stampin Up top note die for the base of each letter and then used my cricut for the letters. To adhere them I used my Xyron sticker maker. I used mini clothes pins to hold the letter on. It kept falling off the wall so we moved it shortly after this :)

Put Lips Here

Hi everyone :)
I have a quick and easy project for you today.

I bought these super cute paper straws at Pinque a Peacock and I used them to make this quick and easy project.  I wrapped the bottle with the ribbon and then inserted the straw. I added the bow and created this little tag to sit on the straw.

Flute fund

Hi everyone,
I have a fun Pinque Peacock project to share today. Princess Buttercup started playing the flute. We found one used and she is saving up by doing chores to pay me back for some of it.
So here's what I made.

So the jar was a candle jar and I washed it and took the label off. I got this cute butterflies paper stack at Joann and I used those papers. I spray painted the lid and then I used a spellbinders set to cut the labels. I inked everything and used my Xyron sticker maker to stick the labels to the jar. The letters are from October Afternoon. The bling was left over from my July Crafty Club Kit and I added some twine. The perfect finishing touch was my music embellishments from Pinque Peacock. I glued them on and then added some glitter to make them match the jar. Hope you like it.

Have a great day!

Here's the Story

Happy Friday.
I have a fun action wobbles project to share with you today.
So I found this red journal and I thought it needed to be altered.  I made the background with white cardstock and washi tape. I just kept layering it. Then I stamped the mustache and the sentiment. It's from a Teresa Collins set.  I punched it out with a punch and then glittered up the mustache and added the button. the whole circle is up on a wobble.
I love how it turned out. I plan on entering this into the Action Wobbles Challenge wonderful washi. I hope you join us.
Have a great weekend.

Pinque Peacock Crafty kit club

I am lucky enough to be one of the first people to have gotten the new Pinque Peacock mini crafty kit.
Here is a sample of some of the goodies.

So, I got kit A and I forgot to take a picture, but my kit had the paper mache pencil box, 1 sheet of 6x6 paper, 6 approx 6x12 sheets of tissue paper, 3 flowers, a mini mister, a cool metal leaf, bling, a little ribbon and a bottle cap.
To be honest I was a little scared. Only 1 piece of paper I didn't know what to do. My paint and glue were the only supplies I used not in the kit.
So here is what I came up with...

I started by painting it green and while the paint was dry on the top I smoothed the tissue paper on it.  On a few sides I mixed pink and green paint before adding the tissue paper.  I sealed it all with Mod Podge,  I wasn't sure how to create the look I wanted. I felt the 3 flowers werent enough to fill the top, so I made the other flowers out of my leftover tissue paper.
Here is a close up of the flowers.
These are the sides and the back.
I was so nervous the whole project but I love how it turned out. This is what I love about the crafty kit club. This isn't my usual style and it pushed me to think outside the box and push my crafty limits. I hope you get your kit today and don't forget to share what you make.

Uncle Sam Treat Jar

Happy 4th of July! I have a fun patriotic project for you today.
First I have to share my fun news. I am now a member of the action wobbles design team! Today is my first official post.

I started with a mason jar. I put Mod Podge about half way up the jar and then sprinkled glitter on it. I added some gemstone around the center of the  jar. I added some acrylic stars at the top. I found this red twine in the bottom of my box of ribbons and it was perfect. The final touch was Uncle Sam. I added a wobble to him and off he goes.

I hope you like him. Don't forget to enter the Action Wobbles challenge Here

I am also entering this in the Pinque Peacock challenge summer. Click Here for that one.

Bowling birthday

Hello,
I wanted to share the treat bags I did for Princess Buttercup's birthday. I got all the images from MyGrafico. If I can get on the computer I'll add the link. Anyway, I wanted to make a bowling them treat for the kids.
I printed all the images at the library for they were on regular paper.

I got the baskets at the dollar store and then taped the bowl a rama to the front.

I used the digital papers in the kit to make the water bottle wraps.d

I wrapped the bubbles with digital paper and the pins were some of the graphics in the kit.
Here were a few other things in the basket.
The kids loved them. I am also entering this in the Pinque Peacock anything goes challenge.

Hi Everyone! Thank you for hopping with us. It's works out well that our patriotic hop landed on Father's Day. My husband, who is an amazing Daddy, was also in the Army and we have lots of military stuff in our house. I wanted to make him a special gift for Father's Day. I saw something like this on How Does She, but I tweaked it and made it my own style.

I placed my wood cutting order with my dad :) he keeps his scrap wood so he can build me stuff. He actually screwed the 2 pieces of wood together for stability. I painted it with paint from Home Depot. It is wall paint but it was cheaper than craft paint. I used red and blue paper and then the middle star section is fabulous star mesh from Pinque Peacock, and I just put plain white behind it to make it stand out. I added the thickers letters and then some twine. I added some clothes pins and some buttons from  my stash and the final touch was a large fabric covered button from Punque Peacock. That is my project...
