Hello Everyone!
I have a cool project for you today. I was cruising the evil place
know as Pinterest and found this cool way of coloring Mason jars. So
this is what I came up with.
I got a ton of mason jars at my Aunt's house. I used white school glue, a
little water and some food coloring. I mixed red and blue to get my
purple :) I painted the mixture on the outside of my jar. You have to
flip the jar a few times during the drying so it doesn't run. A few
things, make this at home. I did a crafting day with my sister and tried
to drive home with it, and it wasn't dry and it fell out of the cup
holder and got a little funky...lol I still like it. Then I used white
and black ribbon around the center and some bakers twine. Then I added
my Pinque Peacock layered garden beauty from the May release and then
the pin was made with beads from the bead buffet.
I hope you enjoyed the project and you will try to make some of these cool jars yourself :D

Guest Designer for Craftin Desert Divas linky party
I am posting today as a guest designer for Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!
This linky party theme is Red, White and Blue. The sponsor is Pinque Peacock. The more you link up, the better chance you have to win. Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.
Here is what I created for this linky party....
This started out as a gold frame, it was a super old frame it had a 1980's price tag on it...lol. Anyway :) I spray painted it blue, and then left it to dry in the garage and my husband threw it away. So after I rescued it I took my big shot and embossed the white layer just part way down. Then I added the ribbon to the outside. The pin and swirl are also on the outside. The flower is a Pinque Peacock Splendid Swirl and then the pin is a Pinque Peacock beaded pin. All from the new June release. :)
Hope you will Craft It Up & Link It Up!!!

the "Red, White & Blue"
So here is my project. I did something simple but I still love it. I wanted to have a container to store all my Pinque Peacock goodies in, so this is what I came up with.
I got this cute tin at goodwill. Then I took my lace and adhered it around the top edge. I tied a bow and then added an adorable Pinque Peacock fabric covered button . This one is red corduroy and it is the 3/4" size.
Sorry about the picture, I forgot to take it in the daylight so had to settle for an indoor picture. It is so much cute in person. :D
The next stop on the hop is Kimberly :) but before you go.
!!!!Now, let's talk about the
BLOG HOP PRIZE!!!!

Welcome to the Pinterest inspired Blog Hop!!!
If you are hopping along with us, then you should be here from Lori! If not, then go back to Deborah's for the very beginning - you don't want to miss out on all the GREAT idea's along the way!!!
This hop is to showcase some of the great ideas that we have found on Pinterest.
So my daughter's birthday is at the end of June but we always do a kids party at the end of the school year for her friends. I also like to do something special. I don't like to send home a goodie bag of crud. So this year they got Appliqued Blankets :)
Here they are. I found these great blankets on clearance at Walmart a few years ago for $.50. I cut the initial out on my cricut. The font is from the Cricut Cake cartridge Birthday Cakes. Then I use heat and bond on the fabric and hand cut out the letters. Then my sister and I took turns hand stitching.
I love how they turned out :) and the kids loved them.
Next up on the lineup is Miranda
Here is the whole line up if you get lost. :)
