Start Everyday with a smile and some Pinque Peacock

It is my day to share a project at Pinque Peacock.  I have an adorable project to share with you today. This is an altered CD. It was one some people were throwing out. It didn't play anymore so I turned it into this picture holder. You just slide the picture in under the flowers.



The paper is MME Sweet Caroline.  The paper says Start Everyday with a Smile and I love that sentiment.  I added a Pinque Peacock Pin. I made it with beads from the Bead Buffet and then added some roses and pearls. I love how it turned and and plan on sticking it on my desk with a picture of Princess Buttercup.

I also promise to do better with blogging. Since the school year is almost over I won't have to deal with lots of crud and will have lots of time to craft :D

I wanted to make my mom a nice frame. I love that even though I am a grown up when I make my mom stuff she still puts it up in her house.  So here is what I made.

I painted my frame pink, and then I had some chipboard letters. I used pink ink to make the color and then I used some glitter glue to make them sparkle.  The flowers were from my stash and I added some buttons to the center.  Then I used some ribbon around the outside and I just adhered it with my atg so it didn't slide off the frame.

I am also entering this in the DL ART Thankful Thursday Challenge Use Flowers.

I used Food for Thought for the sentiment and the puppy is from Create a Critter.  I added some eye-lets and it was done.

Pinque Peacock Design Team Altered Frame

Hi Everyone! All I have to say is TGIF!!  I have an altered frame to share with you today and a story. So I completely forgot that I had to have my post for today. For some reason I thought it was next Friday that I was going to share with you. So at 11 pm last night I had to make something up.  I had no idea what to do. Well I have been trying to go through old projects that I loved at the time but now not so much, and revamping them into something else. So I dug into my stash and pulled out the frame.  So here is the AFTER...

 I found a before picture...lol and it was one of the first things I ever made on my blog so I think I have come a long way since then.




It was a black frame I had painted and glittered, but I didn't do a great job on it. So I took pink paint and painted over the black. Then I took a piece of paper towel and rubbed the pink off. So it gave it the muted distressed look, but you could still see the black and sparkles.  Then I used some bling in the 2 corners to jazz it up. The pin is from the Pinque Peacock Bead Buffet. I'll explain that shortly. Then I grabbed some flowers and I sandwiched the pin between the 2 layers of flowers. The paper is from Crafting Family and it is called Girlfriend Phrases by TPC Studios Added some ribbon and I have a new and CUTE picture frame.OOH, and I glittered the top of the pin :)

So the Pinque Peacock Bead Buffet is really cool. On the Pinque Peacock Facebok there is a photo album called the Bead Buffet. Here is the link.It is being restocked today, but what you do is you pick the beads you want and then you can actually make the pins yourself, or you can use the bead buffet to order custom pins. I used a cute little squirrel from Create a Critter and then the sentiment in from Food For Thought.  I did a little embossing and added some eye-lets. That is it easy peasy.

I used a Stampin Up die that cut the card base and then cut the star out as you ran it through. It was called movers and shapers.  I cut a few extra stars to put on the card too.  Then I added a fabulous Pinque Peacock beaded stick pin from the April Release.

It seemed like such an easy challenge, but I must have started 3 or 4 projects that I couldn't get to work. so I will post those in the next few weeks.  Hope you come join us.

So I have been in an altering mood lately, so I found this tin at Target for $.30, it had a green ribbon on it for the handle and I just removed that to make it this....

 I had to hang it in my bathroom so you could see the handle :)

Here is a close up of the side.

I rethreaded ribbon in the handle and used that same ribbon for the band around the middle. I then raided my flower and bling stash. I just used my finger to space out the bling at the bottom. Then the special part :) The center of the cream flower is the new Fabric covered buttons at Pinque Peacock.
