Lazy Days

Hi Ya :)

I have been in a crafty mood, probably because I have been stuck in bed and it gets soo boring after awhile.

This week at Queen of My Craftroom the challenge is to use a digi stamp. Easy Peasy cause I love digi stamps.
One of the other DT members of Queen on my Craftroom recommended this blog and she has super adorable digi stamps for free.

I love to combine challenges so the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky is use green, white and 1 other color.  The clean and simple challenge at the glamorous side of scrapping, is the use green.  I think my card is clean and simple :)  Finally at CardzTV there was a sketch challenge.

So here is my card.  I used my prismacolor pencils to color the digi, and it was all shades of green, and yellow.  All the pieces of my card are from my scrap bin.  I embossed the background, punched the tag out, added some flowers, and a little bow.  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer

I hope you have a fabulous day :)

Baking Ribbon

Hey :)

I had some comments on my curly ribbon on my mini album.  So I wanted to quickly share how I made it. I had it laying around from when I used to make hair bows. This is how korker hair bows are made.

It is really simple.  I got a dowel from Walmart, It has been awhile but I believe it was 1/4 in diameter, and cut it in half so it was 18 inches. I got clothes pins from the dollar store.  You cut a yard of ribbon and clip it to one end of the dowel and just wind it around until the whole length is on the dowel, secure the other end.

You put it on a cookie sheet and bake it at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes then take it out of the oven and let it cool completely. Remove the clothespins and you have curly ribbon.  Cut into sections and that's it.

The cool thing is they make square dowels so you can have square ribbon too. You can do this with grosgrain ribbon or satin ribbon.

Have a great St. Patrick's day :)

Getting Cricky In like a Lion, Out like a Lamb Hop

Hi Everyone and Welcome to this month's Getting Cricky Blog hop.
You should have just hopped here from the Fabulous Vero, if you are just joining us head back to Kristal's blog Getting Cricky to start the fun.

This month the theme is In like a Lion, Out like a lamb.  So I had to make something cute with lambs.

The lambs are from Create a Critter at 2.5 inches.  This is actually a mini album so I will so more of the pages later on my blog. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs set Crafty Friends.  The flowers are from Michaels and the ribbon I baked in the oven to make it curly.

Now head over the Miranda's blog.  Here is the entire line-up in case you get lost along the way.

Queen of my Craftroom Altered Spring Project

Hi Everyone! :)

This week at Queen of my Craftroom we were challenged to make an altered spring project.  I tried to make this the other day and it turned out horribly.  Today I remade it and I love how it turned out.

I took an an promotional cd and covered it in paper. Then trimmed it and sanded lightly.  I embossed a piece of yellow paper, using my Fiskars Texture plates and then glittered it.  The flowers are from Michaels, and so are the flower centers. The orange ones came with the flowers and then the white ones I picked up on clearance.
I am also entering this in the Spring Challenge at Love to Crop

I hope you will join in the challenge this week.

Scenic card

There is a cute little challenge over at Welch Creations we were challenged to make a scenic card. I have been trying to make this card for 2 weeks and just kept changing my mind. It is a simple card cause I made it while stuck in bed.  So I didn't have everything but I still like it.

I used a few different cartridges on this card.  The clouds are from April Showers. The grass, dog and doghouse are from Everyday Paper Dolls.  The sun is from Simply Charmed.  The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment is K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer.  I added the lines to the dog cause they were kind of hard to see on it.

Sorry about the picture I had to take the picture in the living room and the lighting isn't as good as it is down in the craftroom. :)

Have a great day :)

Queen of my Craftroom Get Well Card

This week at Queen of my Craftroom. We were challenged to make a get well card.

So here is my card. I found this stamp at a garage sale for $.25. At the time I didn't know what I was going to do with it but I couldn't pass up this price.

I stamped it and colored it with my prismacolors.  I cut it out after I colored it. I dug through my scrap bin and found the paper. I embossed it and then trimmed it.  The white is the back of the aqua sheet.  I wrapped aqua crochet cotton around the white. The bling was from my stash, and added some dashing.

That's it, easy peasy.... I left it simple so I can personalize it depending on what I send it for.

Have a great day and come join us and link up.
