Baby Giraffe

I am working really hard on making a card a day, so far so good.  I am actually ahead right now.  I haven't posted all of them, but I will.  I think some of them will be auto posted while I am on vacation in a few weeks.

Anyway, I got this adorable little giraffe at MelJen's, he was a freebie, can you believe it!  I love her free stamps they are AWESOME!!  So I colored him with Rose Art colored pencils, and blended it together with alcohol.  Gamsol and Prismacolors are on my wish list.  Maybe someday...
Then I cut him out free hand.  I took tan cardstock from my scraps and ran it through the cuttlebug.  The buttons were from a 5 pack where it just just one strip of embossing.  The card base is a Studio G one, I found at Michaels, I love the wavy edge.  Polka dot paper was in my scrap bin, so I covered my card base, added my embossed paper and digital stamp, and finished with the brown buttons.

I hope you like the card. I will be back tomorrow with another one.  I think I am going to give this card to my friend. She had a baby boy in May and we are heading to Oklahoma to visit them, I think she will like it.

Don't you love my cricut cover in the background...lol  I got it from Raven, and I love it.

Quilled Butterfly Card

I love how this card turned out.  I used a white card base 5x5 then covered it in coredinations pink.  I dashed along the edges with my gelly roll pink.  The 2 pieces of patterned paper are from Doodlebug Designs.  The plaid is nifty notions and the flower piece, I can't remember the name, and I cut the piece off. Whoops!  lol.  Anyway. The scallop is cut with a sizzix die, it is the clear scallop square, then I just cut a square of the plaid. The sparkly ribbon is from my stash.  The green circle was a scrap, I cut it and inked it with blue. I made the cute quilling butterfly, and I think it is a cute touch.

Have a great day!

Congrats

I made this quilled wedding cake, and then wanted something funky.  I chose bright colors even though they aren't traditional wedding colors.  I stamped the congrats in orange, and then trimmed the page to fit the card.  I matted the wedding cake at an angle just for something different.  Dashed everything with my gelly rolls and that was it. Easy Peasy!

Just a note

I actually felt like creating today, so I whipped out this card for the Market Street Stamps challenge.

I used a 5x5 card base, covered it in purple.  Took green and i didn't measure it, because it was out of my scrap bin, and stamped Vintage Music in orange on it.  Just a note is stickers and then I cut the square out in my fiskars cutter.  Took my gelly roll pens and dashed the edges of the pink and purple.

Have a great day.

I am linking this up over at Youhadmeatcraft

Happy Birthday to you!

I haven't been in a very creative mood.   I'm really grumpy and blah, just personal stuff going on.  Anyway, I tried creating to beat my funk, not sure if I am totally thrilled with the card, but just gonna roll with it.  I found this challenge at http://birthdaysundaes.blogspot.com/  The colors in the photo made me think of the blues, I used, and the sand, inspired the glitter.
The background I used chalks and just dusted it across the white base.  I dug into my ribbon stash and found this ribbon, I thought it was a nice touch.  I got this adorable digital stamp from Mel Jen's Design Blog, her stuff is super duper cute! So I used my watercolor pencils to color the image, but I dipped the pencil tip in water and then colored.  After it dried I used my Martha Stewart glue pen and colored on top of the balloon color, and added glitter.  I cut it out using my fiskars shape cutter, and then used it to cut the brown frame around the image.  I used dimensionals and popped the image up.

My first digital layout

I am always up for trying new crafts, so I decided to try digital scrapbooking.  I got an adorable set from the site A-manda Creations.  It is called puddle jumper.  I have no idea what pictures I will put in it, but I wanted to try it out.  It was fairly simple I had it in Paint Shop Pro.  It is a simple layout, but I think once I get more into it I could do some more complicated ones.  I think this will be a nice addition to regular scrapbooking.  I might do some digital and print them and then add regular elements as well.
Question for anyone who does digital layouts, do you print them at home, send them to walgreens or just keep them on the computer??
