Pink chipboard album

I found this cute square chipboard album at Michaels in the dollar section!  I was so surprised they had them in a few shapes.  I used a glue by US Artquest, perfect paper adhesive gloss.  It is the best glue I have ever found for doing chipboard albums, just make sure to go close to the edges. I picked it up at Michaels on clearance for $.49.

 All the patterned paper is from an Oriental Trading set.  The ribbon is soo cute and it is from Angela at Binger Crafter.    I need to add some kind of embellishments to the front and pages, I am just not sure what I want to do yet.  I found some stickers and used to spell out the saying.  I took glitter glue and traced the pink, and poured pink glitter on top.

This project took a lot to get it finished.  It kept making me mad.  I tried to cover it in paper a few weeks ago and it looks cruddy. So I ripped the paper off, sanded it, and painted it pink. Still looked bad, so it got painted black. While the paint was still wet, I sprinkled pink glitter all over it.  I found the saying online, it is a digital stamp, but I can't remember where I found it.  I will do some searching and see who it is buy. The butterfly is a stamp, I got as a prize from Angela at Binge crafter I was her 200th follower!  She has a lot of really cool tips on her blog. I colored it with colored pencils.  I used homemade glue dots to attach the butterfly and sentiment.

Scrapfest!!

I usually post a project instead me just rambling, but I am so excited. Scrapfest 2011 is at the Mall of America.  I live very close and I just purchased my badge.  I can't wait, I have never been to scrapfest or anything even similar.  I will post pictures when it actually gets here. 

I will have a project either later tonight or for sure tomorrow!

Mini Tinkerbell Album and GIVEAWAY!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic day today!  I made this album last night and I LOVE how it turned out.

It is made very similar to yesterdays album, but I did do a few things differently.

I cut the circles on my fiskars cutter, and then turned the circles into stickers using my xyron. It used a lot more adhesive, but I like how they stuck to it.  I inked the edges of the coasters i aqua, and inked the edges of the photo mats in orange.  I used my crop a dile and easy peasy lemon squeezey it is done.

All my paper and stickers came from a tinkerbell kit that I have had FOREVER!!  Another one of my finds while cleaning.  I am going to add ribbon to the ring, but other than that it is done.

Mini Summer Album

I am challenging myself to not buy anything new.  I have a lot of supplies that I should be using and it is actually making me more creative. I have a craft room, but I also have to share it as a play room and computer room.  That makes my space limited and my husband always puts stuff on my side of the room.  GRR...  :)   I am trying to organize it, use supplies and then figure out what to do with the projects.  Up until now I have just giving them away, but I think I might actually sell this one.  What do you think?  Good enough to sell?  Do you think $6 is fair for it?  There are a lot of pictures and they go in order.

Anyway, I picked up the coasters on clearance for $.40 for 8 of them and I used 6 of them for the book.  I wanted to use something other than my cricut, I don't have a spatula for it, and it rips the paper when you take it off, but with my buying freeze, I have to wait for the spatula.  Anyway, I used this fiskars cutter, I got it from my bestie, she bought a ton of scrapbooking stuff, but doesn't scrap, so she gave it all to me.  It is definitely a 2 person job using it, otherwise you can't put enough pressure to cut.

I glued all the paper on, and then cut extra circles in different sizes to add dimension to the pages.  I cut 3 inch circles for the picture mats.  I inked the coasters in chocolate chip and inked the picture mats in the glue.  Then I added the embellishments.  Using my crop a dile I punched holes and added eyelets for extra strength.  Added a binder ring, and that is it.  I might dig for some ribbon to add to the binder ring, but that is later today or tomorrow.  I think next time, I would either not use the eyelets or use less pages.  I suppose you can use a bigger binder ring, but I don't think I have any and I'm not buying.  LOL   I need to keep telling myself that.

i just wanted to add the album is supposed to look dirty-ish... Is that a word.  The paper had spots on it that came on it, so I kinda wanted to match that dirty outdoors-y look.

Flower Hanger

I actually managed to get a project done yesterday, it was kind of a miracle and it took less than an hour.  I did it while the girls were coloring and making jewelry. 

It was a simple project.  I found this flower in the basement, and spray painted it black, then adhered the paper to cover it.  I used die cut letters from a set I found, lost in the garage, and used my sticker maker to put them on.  The "dot" for emily was a flower bead, and the flower embellishments were ones I won from a hop a few months ago.

Here is a close up, the glue wasn't totally dry that is why it looks wrinkly.
